Keeping the group small made a real difference. Rather than a standard tour, guests got a genuinely personal walk through the distillery, with plenty of time to ask questions and see how Fercullen Irish Whiskey actually comes together, from the grain right through to the finished spirit in the still.
Wandering through the cask stores, guests could see first-hand how much the choice of cask and the conditions of the warehouse shape a whiskey over time. It’s the sort of detail that’s easy to explain but far more interesting to see for yourself, and the smaller group meant there was room for proper conversation with the team along the way, including a few stories you wouldn’t hear on a busier tour.

Things wrapped up with a guided tasting of several Fercullen expressions, giving guests a real sense of the distillery’s house style. There was time to sit with each pour, talk through the flavours with the team, and get a feel for what sets each release apart.
Visits like this are exactly what we hope to offer at Tomoka Fine & Rare: genuine access to the people and places behind the whiskies we work with, in a setting that feels personal rather than staged.
